I saw a guy in a wheelchair with his dog a couple of months ago in the grocery store. Not sure what the dog would do for him service wise (he may have been a vet with PTSD). I asked him if people faking service dogs in public places bugged him and he said he had bigger worries...but where he is pissed is about fake service dogs on airplanes. He said to get his dog on a plane now he has to go through way more hurdles then he had to a couple of years ago.
