Exactly how I saw it. In fact, I joked about the final, believing the throne may have melted earlier during the battle ( which I asked here). Then I thought they'd become a republic or elected govt. I really didn't expect them to use an elected system—was just joking here at home at the time. But alas, it did happen like that and like you said, baby-steps.
