I mean let's not ignore the long long history of rulers being taken out and replaced in similar fashion. But that was clearly not even a consideration by anyone, even though Grey Worm seemed to be the only person completely hating on Jon. They just chose to completely ignore Jon's right to the throne, and it didn't feel like the reasoning was supported by much of anything. The folks who urged Jon to murder Dany, like Tyrion, forgot all about that and instead called for Bran. Jon didn't say shit when he should have had at least an arguable claim to the throne, and everybody just ignores that and banishes him to the Wall. Thanks, bud. Kbye.
Yes but then you get more war as the Unsullied and Dothraki wouldn't leave. Westoros has been battered by war for about 7 years now. Plus Jon made it clear he wasn't that interested in power or being a king particularly after his resurrection. Jon is much more dour after it because it hit him that there is no afterlife, all those people he killed in battle or led into battle and they were killed he knows that is it for them. There is nothing afterwards no paradise and no punishment.

Remember, right after he was resurrected he just wanted to go be a hermit somewhere. Sansa had to convince him to retake Winterfell. He told Dany that he hated what he was good at, leading people into battle.

As King he will have to condemn people and execute them. He will have to lead armies as there will be small scale wars to pacify the kingdoms that have gone leaderless for ages. Going beyond the wall and living relatively peaceful with the free folk is probably the best ending for him and Tyrion knows it.
