Yeah, he certainly didn't even try to hide his contempt for his character's demise.
I also find it rather telling that there is still no true Episode 6 recap with Benioff and Weiss breaking down why they did what, or the actors discussing their thoughts on the episode. The documentary kind of reminded me of an old episode of Star Trek Next Generation called "Lower Decks," which was centered on the lives of four junior officers, and basically showed the main cast from a distance.
I assume that they started to make one, but D&D shot down airing it. It likely would have featured the principal actors, no longer obligated to play nice, bitching about how things ended, and any defense the showrunners offered would have just stoked the fires of the internet rage which at this point has taken on a life of its own. In other words, a complete no win situation for them.
It's over, they're done, and we can all kiss their asses if we don't like it. That's my takeaway.
