Apparently the larger 2 are not stripers, but “wipers.” They are a cross between a striper and a white bass. I hadn’t ever run into such a thing until today.

Wipers - also called hybrids - are very popular for stocking in lakes and ponds. They're hardy and adaptable, they grow fast, they fight hard, and apparently they taste good.
