If nothing else, this is likely Watkins last year in KC. He's scheduled to make $21 million in 2020 with $7 million dead money from the prorated bonus ($14 million savings). They can give Hill Watkins money, then let Hardman play out his rookie contract. He's locked up through 2022 for peanuts if he plays to his potential.
