Really just depends which Denver team decides to show up...
Mahomes is 3-0 vs Denver, winning twice in Denver.
In the 2 games @ Denver, he's thrown for 284 and 304 yards with 62% completion both times for a combined 1 TD and 1 INT.
The big win @ KC... he was 303 with a 70% completion and 4 TDs when KC lost the TOP battle by 5 minutes and only ran the ball 18 times for 40 yards, compared to 189 for Denver.
Sound familiar?
Denver had an early lead and was down 14-16 until all hell broke loose in the 3rd quarter with turnovers by DEN and TDs by KC.
My 3 Keys for a Denver win:
One - 29, 22 and 30 were the combined rushing attempts by Denver in those last 3 games vs Mahomes - they need to reach 40.
Two - they need to stop settling for FGs. On their last 9 drives of 8 or more plays, one ended on downs, one was a missed FG and one was a TD... the other 6 were all FGs. You can't keep failing to maximize the long drives and just walk away with 3 that often.
Three - tie the turnover battle, don't lose it... don't necessarily have to win that battle, but don't lose it
I'm not worried a great deal about TOP, if I'm being honest. Long sustained drives should get you there... but they need to win the rushing battle, stop settling for FGs and don't lose the turnover battle.
Easy peasy, yeah?
