You do know that it was re channeled before right for better navigation? The Liberty Bend area 210 hwy and 291 those bluffs you see to the north of 210 is where the old missouri river once was. I missed all of this. However, I'm curious: who exactly called for re-channeling the MO? The U.S. government? The state? Kansas City?
