I think some people are conflating two things. The first 3 quarters of the game were among the worst, maybe the worst 3 quarters we have seen Mahomes play. That doesn't mean he sucked for 3 quarters it just means he was not the guy we are used to seeing. Mahomes worst 3 quarters are still better than the average starting NFL QB. And in the 4th he went back to being himself.
