Was basically thinking the same thing. Foles will give them some consistency and stability. Plus, he's a pretty good short- to intermediate range passer. I don't think Trubisky wins a competition with Foles anyway, so that's a moot point, IMO. But Trubisky can finally have a chance to see what the offense is supposed to look like as the back-up, and maybe start trending in the right direction.
Or the Bears go after another QB in the draft this year or next, and Foles is their mentor. Win-win for the Bears.
