You were told (accurately) that comparing COVID-19 to H1N1 was apples to oranges. You've been given the numbers which show they aren't comparable at all. You've also been told that SARS-CoV-2 is a novel coronavirus, and H1N1 was influenza, so by definition, they are apples and oranges.
