We got wrecked in the run game so we failed with McClain, then hit the jackpot with Pennel. Green Bay embarrassed us with their rb in the passing game so we adjusted Sorenson which gave honey Badger the chance to freelance. Losing Thornhill led to finding a brilliant way to use Fuller. All while questioning if frank Clark was damaged goods. It's crazy to think about what a journey last year was for this defense.

Completely in retrospect, last year was definitely a fairy tale. Like a modern day Hero's Journey.
With all of the injuries to key starters, including the one to Patrick that had us all feeling like hope was lost midway through the season, coaching changes, under-performing FA acquisitions early in the season, surmounting incredible leads, bringing home the Lamar Hunt trophy, and finally winning the big one.
Now I feel like we've shaken the filthy stigma of being a loser franchise. We're winners. Top of the mountain.
