It's sad, not because they're losing out on their education but because they're missing out on socialization, afterschool programs such as Glee, school musicals, etc.
We had the elementary school's Talent Show over Zoom Friday night. It was cute and the kids all did well but it's just not the same as being in a 1,200 seat auditorium packed with parents and grandparents.

Kids are pretty damn resilient though.
My best friend's daughter just had her 13th birthday back in mid-April, they had been planning a huge pool party for her and her classmates for months.
They ended up doing the "drive by" for her and she said it was the best birthday she's ever had.
