I remember when our surgeon general recommended not wearing masks and tried to say they didn't help at the start of this pandemic. The few well known media outlets even followed suit with some articles despite plenty of studies showing there was some efficacy to mask wearing. I was irate. Because they were intentionally lying to us. They were lying to us because they didn't want people to hoard all the masks, I get that. But when your government and media lies to you to protect you, it really pisses me off.
Just give me the data, let me make the decision.
