Don't get me wrong, bugs like nats and mosquitoes need to die a cruel death, but things like lightning bugs and grasshoppers and shit. I saw a grasshopper the other day and realized it was probably the first one I'd seen in a decade or more. I legitimately haven't seen a lightning bug since I was a kid. We used to run around and catch those ****ers all the time.
Granted, I'm sure a lot of it has to do with the fact that I probably spend less time outdoors as an adult and I've also spent the last 20-ish years of my life living in large metro areas, but still..
