I would do open mics pretty hard at one point and one time Mike Baldwin came out with a timer to show how much time he has and rests it on a stool and off the cuff he got more laughs about setting up the timer than I got in like 10 years of comedy. ALL THAT AND HE STILL MOSTLY LIVED OUT OF A VAN. That made me stick to my 9-5 and just be a water cooler comedian. He did get to meet rob thomas.
