That's a question?

Take the 'guaranteed to be Scherzer' out of the equation and just say it's Kumar Rocker and I'd take Rocker an the risk associated with pitching prospects over a 1st round exit.

You could trade Rocker the moment he's eligible to be traded and get one of the best young established veterans in the game. There are maybe 10 pitchers that wouldn't get moved for him. I'd say Snell is probably as close as you get to borderline and then just because of some odd injury history.

I wouldn't trade Flaherty for him, Dodgers probably wouldn't move Buehler. But you could get guys like Paddack and Alcantara for him pretty easily I would think. A guy like Beiber is probably right at the borderline.

His immediate value, irrespective of the 'prospect' risk, is so immense that you absolutely take him over a 1 and done.
