WHO: Eliminating Covid-19 Will be ‘Very Unlikely’
•The World Health Organization’s executive director of its health emergencies unit said eradicating Covid-19 would be “very unlikely.” “In our situation, it is very unlikely that we can eradicate or eliminate the virus,” Dr. Mike Ryan said at a Friday media briefing, adding that temporarily containing the outbreak in specific places, such as island states, cannot prevent the risk of importing the virus again.
