So you assume Mahomes would have played well if it was Newton out there. Maybe, maybe not. Belichick has done a good job of confusing him for at least 50% of each game.
Patrick still has a lot of room for growth. I want to see him take those checkdowns more often instead of forcing stuff into double coverage. Spags defense is playing well enough that this team does not need the QB forcing those kind of dumb throws.
