Actually, Lamar isn't that bad against NE.
Last season BAL won, and Lamar posted decent QB numbers:
17/23 163 yds 7.1yds/a 1TD 0 INT 1 sacked 84.9 QBR 107.7 PRTG
Okay, not great, but a ton of 2nd year QBs have done much, much worse against Bill.
In last night's game during a literal monsoon, he posted:
24/34 249yds 70.6 CMP% 7.3 yds/a 2TDs 1 INT 68.3 QBR 98.8 PRTG
Again, not great, but not really bad either, especially considering the weather conditions which were very close to unplayable. And Lamar had at least three passes that hit receivers between the numbers that were dropped, so his completion% should've been somewhere around 80%, in a wind tunnel filled with flying buckets of water.
My point is that Lamar may not be a great QB, but he is one of the few young QBs that has played against NE and Bill's defense and not really lost much efficiency.
