Danna's not the kind of DE you expect to start the next season.
That's the kind of shit the Vermeil Chiefs would pull. Eric Hicks had a double digit sack year in Gunther's last season, so the Chiefs keep him as the starter the next 4 years.
You draft another guy. Doesn't have to be first round. And if Mike Danna really does turn into starter quality, you treat it as a pleasant surprise and let the depth chart sort itself out from there.
