Dude, I had the blessing and privilege of attending Desert Trip with my closest dude friends and no women. Stones played second bill that Friday night after Bob Dillon.
Stones were going the **** off and at one point I turned around to check the crowd and 85,000+ fans were dancing there asses off and losing their minds. It was an amazing sight to behold. Best thing I have ever seen, though my buds would argue pretty convincingly that it was Roger Waters Sunday closing set that was the best thing ever (it was sublime and the pig fell onto us and I can provide video proof if required". And I was rolling so hard my face was melting off like that Nazi guy in Raiders Of The Lost Arc when he shouldn't have been looking at what he was looking at.
Until Sunday when Neil Young took the stage opening with After The Gold Rush as the sun set and settling into Harvest Moon just as a full moon was ascending above the surrounding Indio, CA mountains. You had to be there. I literally turned to some guy next to me and said "nobody is going to believe this". He was all like, and I quote, hmmvr, fmmmvr, schwengolly, mffffr, ffft. I agreed.
I was ****ing FRIED that weekend.
