We live in rural Oklahoma and I put up a couple houses each year and we get around 12-15 birds to come in an we have zero mosquitos around our house.
Birds show up in Mid-March and stay until the first of August. All it cost me was a couple of houses I have reused for about 5 years now.

How do you get purple martins to move in as opposed to sparrows or crows or eagles?
