At my work, I sat in on a workforce model folding in talent pool candidates within varying workplace hybrid options. Number of days in per week, commute times, yadda, yadda, yadda. It was built on a ton of assumptions that felt skewed toward talent pools where our national hubs are located.
Our HQ and biggest office is in Los Angeles and when the question was posed if IT talent is the same in LA as it is in butt**** Iowa why would you hire within the more expensive market and things got super awkward.
