This is a stupid ****ing conversation.
It's been one ****ing season. If that's the clear decider in determining player worth, then I guess the Chiefs ****ed up in 2017 and should have drafted Deshaun Watson, eh?
And besides that, the Chiefs made the move they did knowing what they knew back then. CEH wasn't some Breeland Speaks whiff by Veach, where everybody was like, "uhh... what?" when the pick happened. Some really smart football peoples' instant reaction to that pick was that of, "Holy shit, the Chiefs just entered God Mode now." Remember Brett Kollman when the pick happened? He wasn't going to react that way if the Chiefs took Jonathan Taylor instead. It was all a reaction to the specific player the Chiefs took, not the position they chose.
Veach had a plan with the way the team would use CEH and we're going to get a much better glimpse of that possibility this season. And for all we know, it might make Jonathan Taylor look like Jonathan Taylor Thomas.
It was the 32nd overall freakin pick. How about we all just grab our own dicks and wait a goddamn minute?
Christ.
