They just finished by far the toughest stretch of the season and should frankly be sitting at 4-1. The only way they miss the playoffs is if the turnovers keep piling up, which I don’t see happening.
I think this will look like a much more balanced team by the end of the year. Spags will make changes (unless he wants to lose his job). Less snaps for Sorenson, possibly move Jones back to DT, get Gay involved, more aggressive calls, etc. They’re not going to give up 30 points every game. Things will balance out, especially as they start to play lesser offenses.
How many times did the Patriots have a rough start only to go to the SB?
Even with the way the defense has played, I still view most of the remaining games as should-win games. I don’t see any that should be chalked up as a loss. I don’t think a big winning streak is out of the question at all.
