You argued with ONE (1) uno person. Most had Fountain making the roster, with the understanding that he's a back of the roster JAG.
YOU, however argued that he was the 2nd most talented receiver on the roster and would win the starting "X" gig.
Don't try to bullshit and lie your way out of this one.
You wanted to brag so much about the 53rd player on the roster (that pretty much everyone had making the team) and now you can eat some crow for how woefully bad your take actually was. Wear it. You can't hide from it. You can't make excuses about it. It's right there for everyone to read.
