How many times will a CB let Mahomes connect with Hill there for 8-15 yards a pop before they naturally start to cheat up and jump on the short stuff? Then you can hit them over the top.

I'm not convinced that we can get teams to get out of those deep coverages, no matter how much success we have underneath.
We had two consecutive games rushing over 185 yards. Pat has been dinking and dunking them and having, statistically, a great season.
Teams seem content on letting us score 30+ the hard way. Just so long as nothing gets deep or over the top. I think coaches are convinced that they will not let those big plays happen, NO MATTER WHAT.
This team might seriously have to dink and dunk it's way through the season. They're taking away what makes Mahomes special. Teams would rather let us get 400 yards the hard way than let us do it the way we'd want to.
And i think that's what Pat meant when he mentioned the coverages the other day. Teams just aren't coming up no matter how good the Chiefs are underneath.
So we have to accept that, or get more creative in how we beat these umbrella coverages.
