It's not that he was racist.
Racism was used as an excuse to further whatever agenda the NFL has here.
The people writing the checks are not held accountable in the same way, so racism doesn't really matter.
Private conversations used to be private, but now they can be used against you. Meanwhile ownership and are saying similar things in PUBLIC and getting away with it. Because they have the power to censor and disseminate as they see fit.
