I remember back in the late 80s, KY102 had JJ Walker and the guy that owned the comedy club in Westport, on their morning radio show to promote JJ's stand up gig that weekend. Apparently, JJ or his agent had warned the DJ's to not ask JJ to say DY-NO-MITE because he hated doing it. I don't remember who the morning show jocks were back then, Max Tanna and Moffit maybe, but they only got about half way through the interview before one of them broached the subject of JJ saying DY-NO-MITE and it pissed JJ off, so he cut the interview short and left the studio. It was honestly the only thing he was really known for, so it seemed strange that he would not use it to promote his comedy tour. I guess now that he is older and probably needs the money, so saying it isn't such an issue to him anymore.
