I'm quick with the mute button when I happen to be watching live TV, which I try not to... even for those 30 second break-in bullshit in game commercials.
Haven't noticed Medicare stuff, but pretty sure if I was driving or sitting in a restaurant or walking down a street and somehow heard the cackling of a Discover card commercial, I'd reach for an imaginary remote, that's how often I mute that shit (approximate 4000 times per live sporting event).
