This, I was happy as a Chiefs fan, and I don't wish him ill, that had to feel good for him...but it doesn't negate the objective stats that he has hit a steep decline...and he was always an overachiever at best.
The pressure they are starting to generate helps the secondary for sure, but as soon as they face a stout O-line, or an offense that adjusts to that pressure the DD targeting will continue and what evidence do we have that the pattern of burnt toast won't continue again?
We need to see more Watts in those third down situations...it doesn't have to be every time, but how will they know unless they try? Statistically it can't get worse.
