If the light were gonna turn on, we'd at least have seen it flicker a time or two.

Remember those old halogen bulbs in the school gymnasium? Oh sure, they take 10-15 minutes to really get bright, but as soon as you flip the switch, you knew the ballasts had ignited and they started to slowly turn on.

I haven't seen anything in 3 years to indicate that Hardman has a switch to flip. This is just who he is. Maybe - if he's extremely lucky - he has Marquis Godwin's career. Or Ted Gin Jr (lower ceiling that Godwin but played a really long time).

But the guy's never going to just become any sort of 3-down receiver. The instincts aren't there.

Time to simply play the slice with this guy and accept him for what he is, not for what we wish he were (Terry McLaurin...)
