I think it's totally a psychological thing.
If get beat on an 8 yard pass, there might be a technique failure you feel like you can fix. If you're getting physically dominated, there isn't much you can do about it.
I think is what he's getting at.
Weird thing is when the OL was at it's peak (Schwartz being a big component), Simms, more than anyone else - at all, talked about the physicality of the Chiefs OL as a big reason they were successful with Mahomes at the helm. I'd think as an OL, you could inflict physical dominance also, but I don't know anything. I suppose its different when you're inflicting hate and discontent on all 3 levels of the defense rather than just beating the **** out of your guy.
