During KU-Mizzou's last matchup my freshman year in 2012 (which brought a crazed, unhinged energy throughout campus that was matched only by our matchup with Kentucky my senior year). The camping before the Mizzou game was legendary, a frat group notoriously lost their spot and there were posters all throughout campus. But I realized in my call that the freshman I was talking to were eight in our last matchup. I may as well have been talking about KU matching up with Boise St, the match just wasn't significant at all.
Buuuuut. Something has happened since. There were students already camping at AFH since Tuesday and people are comparing it to our last home matchup vs. Kentucky. I'm not sure if Greek life has worked to build up the matchup, but the energy on KU's campus has absolutely exceeded our KSU matchups and has absolutely exceeded my expectations so far.

Maybe they’re just trying to become the vintage hipsters of hating Mizzou. Once they see them play on the court, they’ll realize that they’re getting fired up to watch a special Olympics team.
