Interesting tidbit I found from Speak For Yourself:

I know it's been discussed before, but seen this way really brings it home, imo. First 5 weeks the offense was clocking, but the defense was historically bad. Since week 6 however, the defense has steadily improved until in the last five games the Chiefs defense has held every opponent to single digits except LAC, and half our starting defense was unavailable that week.

The defense really became the best unit on the team around week 10. If you just look at their stats from that point forward, they speak for themselves. But you don't really have to do that. Just watch the youttube highlights of any of those games. The defense is featured more than the offense.

This is the version of the Kansas City Chiefs we've been waiting for all season. And it's the one no one wants to meet on the field. The Jedi-style offense led by Patrick mahomes, and a top-5 beasting defense to beat you to death with.
