I thought that was exactly how we got ecoli. Unless it is treated before spreading.
With that said, when human waste is pulled from cabin tanks in Wisconsin, they treat it with lime to neutralize it. There also has to be some anit bacterial in that.
Then they spread it on hay or clover.
Need more information here.
