It’s not so much that EB will be a great hc. It’s that every year there are enough wtf hires where we know Eb probably couldn’t be worse.
I don’t know where to fix the problem but it’s undeniable that there is an issue and I highly doubt it’s due to not wanting to teach. As if there aren’t captains out there who’ve shown outstanding leadership and feel for the game.

Problem with EB is not only his history, but also it does not help to be under a head coach who controls the offense. Further any offense with Patrick is not going to be replicated anywhere else. So besides working with Andy, what can you honestly say EB will be great at? I doubt any fan base would be fired up and running ticket office for a EB hire. To me Bowles, Leftwich Ryans, Morris and Flores are the best AA candidates. Sure they more deserving then McCown but there were a lot of candidates more deserving then Culley and I would guess a lot of qualified candidates have no interest in the Houston or Jacksonville jobs. Doubt any of the above AA candidates would take it. But they all are getting interviews but this day and age some coordinators are very reluctant to leave a good situation and job into a dysfunctional rebuild.
