Why do people keep bringing this point up about Asians and Hispanics. They each make up about 2% of players. When black people represent 70% of the guys you’re managing and yet only 3% of coaches, it’s obvious something is wrong. This is a huge talent pool that includes tons of guys who know the game in a unique way, has demonstrated leadership, and would connect well with the locker room. You don’t enforce quotas but you can use the percentages to know something is off. And it’s not just off. It’s embarrassingly off. So they’re not hiring the best people. In many cases the nfl is such an inbred network that they’re hiring people they know. Unless you’re suggesting that Britt Reid was more qualified to get a shot than a captain who played 4 years in a pro style defense.
