Looking at the coaches being hired and the coaches NOT being hired seems very obvious that black coaches aren't given the same opportunities as white coaches and that includes not getting the same amount of time before they are fired. I don't see how people can look at what's going on objectively and not reach that same conclusion.
Funnily enough though, the Rooney rule is actually hurting Flores' case right now. It would actually be easier and provide less cover to the owners if there was no Rooney rule because Flores and everyone else could point to black coaches not even being given interviews. But with the Rooney rule, owners can just say "oh well we interviewed them, we want to hire them, but they just had bad interviews. The Rooney rule is a CYA for owners to be able to not hire black coaches without repercussions

Point is he's snitching on him. Not a smart move by Ross in firing Flores, since he had dirt on him. Or maybe he figured Flores wouldn't rat him out.
