Honestly, Leftwich had a perfect opportunity to go to a place where he had Trevor Lawrence, several good draft picks and lots of cap room. He could win 4 games here in J-ville and he would still be considered king. It's a win-win for him and Baalke would probably be gone anyway.
He overplayed his hand....and now will be stuck with Houston, New Orleans or Miami. Houston is probably the best option there.....New Orleans is deep in a hole due to cap situations....Miami is stuck with Tua.
As I said in another thread....would be funny if Leftwich is left at the altar this year when he could have come to the Jags and (with patience) had a perfect situation.

If I were Leftwich I wouldn't gamble my first HC opportunity on the hope and a prayer that Baalke gets fired and the next guy still wants to retain the coach. That's a bold strategy Cotton.
