I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he was brought back on a similar deal he got the first time.
He’d get a very small first year cap hit ($5.93 cap hit in 2019).
They could have him cheap in 2022 and only 1 season with a high cap hit in 2023, which would likely be less than his franchise tag this year. Then we could cut him in year 3 and get money back.
I think it’s time to move on, but I think our staff really want him back and if they did I think that’s what it would look like. But then again I thought they’d keep Fisher this time last year like the rest of us and we all saw what happened.
