You realize Mahomes' extra possession in OT is tainting your memory of the game? Mahomes added 69 passing yards and 1 passing TD in that period. A period in which Allen didn't get a chance to touch the ball.
Without that extra drive, Mahomes ends up with 309 passing yards to Allen's 329. 2 passing TDs to Allen's 4. 69 rushing yards to Allen's 68. 1 rushing TD to Allen's 0.
Those two QBs were about as equal as you can be in that game.

What you keep forgetting is that Mahomes’ offense punted less and Mahomes did this against the #1 defense with not one, but two All Pro safeties. Mahomes spread the ball around far more than Allen who targeted Davis over and over again because he was wide open.
