The reality was that EB was a terrible interview. He didn't have a plan for the teams he interviewed for, and some of his past does get brought up and questioned. He should have been super-prepared for any of this shit. But he wasn't. And he isn't.
The Chiefs created to public relations nightmare. Now they need to keep it simple by saying, "Thanks EB for your contribution to the team. We're sure you'll land on your feet. Bye now."

Yes. They don't need a PR stunt to make themselves look good and throw EB under the buss after the fact
actually would make them look worse. If they were swift in making decisions then if anything came out they could squash it. This is a distraction and making it look like excuses when PMII and Andy blew it.
