Sure, no system is going to satisfy everyone, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try to improve it.
For instance, given that the NFL has moved towards favoring offense, not having the first FG be sudden death is reasonable.
The issue with a full 10 or 15 minute OT is, if it is still tied you don't really want to have to play a second or third OT.
