Let's face it - consistency is nice, but with Hill and Kelce on the field, it isn't vital. And do you think he's a guy who's going to check out in the post-season when we really need him?
But I think it's all moot because I'm just not willing to make the financials work with him.

I agree with the bolded. Coop is a pretty good player but nowhere near worth what he will likely command.
As to your 3rd sentence I honestly dont know what makes him "check out" or not. I remember the Raiders marching down the field late in the 4th quarter and Collinsworth on TV was asking, "Where is Amari Cooper"? The camera showed him sitting on his helmet on the sideline. Collinsworth sounded pissed saying these are the moments WR`s live for and you would need to drag him off the field at times like this.....Cooper looked like he was a million miles away. Ive heard similar from Cowboy fans. There are times when he plays big time and with emotion, and then there are times I wonder if he has a pulse. I remember when Pacman broke up a pass to Cooper and then proceeded to rip his helmet off and slam his head against it. Cooper didn't even try to defend himself. Zero emotion.
