The NCAA basketball product has kind of went to shit. I watched some basketball over the weekend and the offensive talent is pretty bad. They just dribble around and pass for 20-30 seconds and then force up some shot that they’re obviously not talented enough to make. The final minute of an NBA game can have 3-4 back and forth lead changes because the offensive talent is insane. I watched the last 4 minutes of a game and there were 4 free throws to get it into OT. The game has become a joke with the talent deciding to go overseas for their 1 year out of high school before the draft now.
I’m sure March Madness will still be fun, but not from a complete talent perspective. The main KU guy had 1 basket the other night and he’s a potential “lottery pick” There’s a reason it’s taking some of these college players some extra time in the G league to prepare for the NBA nowadays. The NCAA isn’t preparing them for top competition at all anymore.
