Tons of busts in that first round, too.
And this is an unusual draft, because of Covid. Lots of guys that would've come out last year waited a year, which makes the draft that much deeper.

You're right, plenty of great receivers come from those rounds.
My point was, how many of them make an immediate impact?
Let's look at last year.
34 WR's taken.
3 made an immediate impact with their team: Chase, Waddle and St. Brown - and it took St. Brown 10-12 games and he had little competition for targets.
The other two were taken in the Top 6.
How about 2020?
37 WR's taken.
Outside the 1st round, Pittman arrived this year, did nothing his rookie year. (was also 2nd pick of the 2nd round)
Higgins is the Day Two/Day Three darling, he's had a great start to his career.
Claypool has been solid, yet unspectacular - also a earlier pick - mid 2nd.
Gabe Davis and Mooney showed up at times this year, but did nothing in their rookie years.
That's 5/37.
I'm looking at years beyond 2020, and the story is the same - it's extremely rare for a rookie WR drafted beyond the 1st round (and especially in the 3rd/late) to make a substantial impact Year One - and most of those guys are STILL trying to make it a year or two after being drafted.
Oh, and there are 31 other teams trying to find these needles in the haystack.
FTR, I'm fine with drafting WR's - but be prepared for a down year or two while they come up to speed. They're going to need to make a trade for a real WR if they wanna be in the mix THIS year.
