Still feel like they should have left it like it was, but added first possession in OT as an option to pick from when you win the initial coin toss at the beginning of the game. You can choose to defer to receive the 2nd half kickoff or choose to get the ball first in OT (or still pick the direction you want to kick, if you're so inclined).
It adds a little more strategy to the choices made at the start of the game and could change how a team plays out the end of the game too. Both teams would know who was going to get the ball first in OT, so that might affect whether you press for that TD or maybe even go for two.
