That's pretty concisely where I'm at.
Difference being, Chief's injury situation is an on/off switch. Healthy Mahomes and we can line up something to compete [virtually] no matter what. Dinged or sidelined Mahomes, and there's not much to make us competitive for an entire season on the merit of non-Mahomes talent and effort.
Everyone in the AFCW, Chiefs included, have a new vision of how to compete that, if everything goes their way, is favorable to their prospects.
We still have the cheat code at QB, but we as Chiefs fans have to adjust our expectations from confidence to hope. Because we are hoping our advantages endure, but those advantages will in many ways be new and different from previous advantages and only direct observation will transform hope to evidence. . .
